Climb and Bite

Climb and Bite is a free game. Play fair, pick a decent name when you play online, and remember that coins and items in the game are just for fun: they cannot be bought, sold or swapped for money. The game comes as it is, and we may change it. How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Accepting these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Maziminds, Gujarat, India ("we", "us"). They cover the game at climbandbite.maziminds.com and the Climb and Bite app on Google Play. By playing the game you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not play. The game is intended for players aged 13 and over.

The game

Climb and Bite is a board game you can play alone against the computer, with friends on one device, or online in a room with friends. It is free to play. We may add, change or remove boards, items, modes and other features at any time, and we may stop offering the game or any part of it.

Playing online

When you play online, the other players in the room see your display name and your chip. Your display name must not be offensive, hateful, sexual or threatening, and must not pretend to be someone else, including another player, a real person or Maziminds. The game checks names against a list of offensive words and shows PLAYER instead of a name it does not accept. We may also replace any other name that breaks these rules, and remove any player who breaks them.

Do not cheat, interfere with other players' games, attack or overload our servers, or try to get into parts of the game or our servers that are not meant for you. We may stop you from playing online if you do.

The only thing players can send each other, apart from moves, is an emote from the game's fixed set. If someone in a room is bothering you, tap their block and choose MUTE: their emotes stop and their name is hidden on your screen. You can also leave the room at any time.

Coins and items

Coins, boards, chips, dice, music and everything else you win or unlock in the game are part of the game. They have no value in real money, cannot be bought with real money, and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for anything outside the game. They are a licence to use that content in the game, not property you own. We may change their prices and rewards, and they may be lost or reset, for example if you clear the game's data on your device, or if we have to correct a mistake or an abuse.

Your account and save

Signing in with Google is optional and only keeps a copy of your save on our server. Keep your Google account secure; anyone who can sign in to it can use your save. You can delete the cloud save from Profile at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Our content

The game, its art, music, code and name belong to Maziminds. You may play it and share pictures of your games, but you may not copy, sell or redistribute the game or its parts.

The name check uses word lists from dsojevic/profanity-list (MIT licence) and List of Dirty, Naughty, Obscene and Otherwise Bad Words (CC BY 4.0), which we have changed for this game.

No warranty

The game is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it working and your save safe, but we do not promise that the game, online rooms or the cloud save will always be available, free of mistakes, or that progress can never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Maziminds is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of game progress, coins or items, arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that cannot be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be excluded by contract, the courts at Vadodara, Gujarat, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the game. Before starting any proceedings, please write to us at contact@maziminds.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

Changes

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Playing the game after a change means you accept the new terms.
